背景介绍：TYROBP, also known as DAP12 or KARAP, is a transmembrane protein consisting of a very small extracellular region, a transmembrane Domain containing an aspartic acid residue critical for association with its partner subunits, and an intracellular Domain with a single immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) (PMID: 11114420). It is expressed as a disulfide-bonded homodimer on natural killer cells, myeloid cells and a subset of T cells (PMID: 11114420). TYROBP acts as a signaling adaptor that provides signaling function via the Syk and ZAP-70 tyrosine kinase activation pathways (PMID: 15895090). The gene of TYROBP is located on the long arm of chromosome 19 at position 13.1. Multiple alternative transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
