The ST cell line was established by Mcclurkin·A·W et al. in 1960. ST cells are commonly used for virus propagation and isolation, and serve as an ideal host for porcine parvovirus (PPV). This cell line can be used for the propagation, assay, and isolation of PPV, TGE (transmissible gastroenteritis), and porcine enteroviruses.
