Immunize experimental animals with purified human erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase, and fuse the spleen cells with SP2/O-Ag14 myeloma cells. The resulting antibodies bind to acetylcholinesterase from both humans and monkeys, but the reaction site of the AE-2 cell is different from the antigenic determinant of AE-1. Testing confirmed that the AE-2 cell line is negative for short-limbed deformity (mousepox) virus.
