Established in 1996 from the ascites of a 29-year-old female with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The patient had been diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's lymphoma 16 years prior and experienced multiple relapses despite undergoing various chemotherapy and radiotherapy regimens before achieving complete remission. Literature describes this cell line as overexpressing BCL2, BCL6, and p53, classifying it as belonging to the ABC-like subtype of lymphoma (activated B-cell type). Exome and RNA sequencing data are available (see reference 18187 and exome/RNA sequence data).

Additionally, please note: The U-2932 cell line contains two distinct subpopulations, which can be distinguished by surface staining for CD19, CD20, and CD38 (see reference 18133). It is recommended to continuously monitor these subpopulations to prevent accidental loss during passaging.
