The AN3CA cell line was established in 1964. Derived from lymph node metastatic tissue of an endometrial cancer patient, it exhibits fundamental characteristics of cancer cells, capable of long-term in vitro subculture and demonstrating tumorigenicity in mice. However, its biological properties and ultrastructure have not been extensively studied, with only negative melanotropin synthesis being identified in this cell line. These cells are commonly used for research on the biology of human endometrial cancer cells and their related characteristics.
