The cell is derived from a Hispanic individual, originating from the normal colon of a gastric cancer patient; mucosal tissue. Doubling time: 32–38 hours (INCELL), spontaneously immortalized cell line.

The DNA profile of this cell line did not match any existing cell lines in the cell line database. No allelic dropout was detected in this cell line during testing. This is a single-source human cell line with no evidence of cross-contamination.
