The SW620 cell line was derived from the tissue of a 51-year-old white male and was established from a lymph node by A. Leibovitz et al. The SW620 cells are primarily composed of small, non-villous, round cells and bipolar cells. These cells synthesize only a small amount of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and exhibit high tumorigenicity in nude mice.
