This cell line originates from a lymph node metastasis. The patient received initial radiotherapy. The cells exhibit uniform partial loss of p53 protein and lack p53 protein expression. The cells can synthesize 0.1 pmol/mg protein of NMB (neuromedin B) but do not produce gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP).
