The 93T449 cell line was established from a well-differentiated liposarcoma in the retroperitoneum of a 68-year-old female. The karyotype and molecular characteristics of this liposarcoma indicate the presence of ring and large marker chromosomes, which contain amplifications of MDM2, CDK4, and HMGA2.
